On October 14, 15 and 16, 2021, the 5th edition of the Erasmus Days gathered lots of people attending 5667 events in more than 67 countries all over the word.

#ErasmusDays means three days of celebration of the Erasmus+ Programme in Europe and beyond as a unique opportunity to organize an event, share an experience or spread the word about a project.

On that occasion, the European University of Tirana (UET) and the International School for Social and Business Studies (IISBS) organised dissemination events to discuss the importance of Virtual Collaborative Learning, and how its underpinning pedagogy can support sustainable forms of internationalisation at home.

In Albania, UET promoted VALEU-X in the Projects’ Fair, where the university’s management and the Head of Office for Project Development and Internationalization, Ketrina Cabiri Mijo, congratulated the successful implementation of the project.

                             

Moreover, the University “Fan S. Noli“, Korça organised a dissemination activity with the Department of Foreign Languages to present the draft structures of VCL and welcome suggestions on possible improvements in the syllabi. The objective of the project and the expected results of its implementation were presentedwhich provides two pilot courses on online teaching so that the knowledge gained during the period of studies can be applied in these courses. 

UNIKO will include in this project the Subject of Translation in English Language (Bachelor Study Program) for the first local pilot course and Teaching in English language (Professional Master Study Program) for the second international course.

In addition, VALEU-X was presented at the University of Elbasan “Aleksandër Xhuvani” on October 14th.

Our colleague Altin Idrizi shared the VALEU-X’s objectives and outcomes to the attendees. The recording of the event is available on Youtube in Albanian language.

The University of Elbasan “Aleksander Xhuvani” celebrated the ED2021 as well, in the premises of the Faculty of Economics for the second year in a row. The activity was dedicated to Capacity building in Higher Education projects funded by the EU. The contact persons of the projects informed the participants about the project’s activities, products and results realized in the frame of the already completed projects and promoted the objectives and goals of the projects that are currently being implemented.

Ms. Elona Saraçi, representative of the National Office of Erasmus + explained in detail the focus of the program, she also invited both students and academic staff to take advantage of this opportunity.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Altin Idrizi, the coordinator of the VALEU-X project made a broad resume of all the activities and the results achieved so far during the implementation of the project, the obstacles caused by the pandemic situation and how these obstacles were overcome by the collaboration of all partners and what are the next steps and activities during the implementation of the project.

                             

Meanwhile, in Slovenia, the International School for Social and Business Studies (Slovenia) organised the online discussion on “International Erasmus+ project challenges and learning opportunities” attracting about 25 ISSBS’ students and 10 foreign participants.

VALEU-X was presented and the importance of internationalisation in higher education highlighted. Mobility activities and project achievements were showed thanks to ISSBS’ representatives Valerij Dermol and Nada Trunk Širca. For further detail, the PPT presentation is available here
