About
The conference Virtual Balkans. Virtual Collaborative Learning in Higher Education represents the final event of the VALEU-X project. The conference will gather management of the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), teaching staff, students, trainees, international relations offices, managerial level of higher education in Albania and in the Western Balkan countries to discuss innovative virtual teaching and learning settings for academic staff at Albanian HEIs, ICT-based internalisation at home, adaptation and recognising virtual/blended mobility as part of the HEIs` internalisation strategy. Moreover, lessons learned and best practices emerged from the VALEU-X project will be shared by the project`s consortium.

The following topics will be covered through the thematic sessions:
- Innovative virtual teaching and learning settings for academic staff at Albanian HEIs, chaired by Benita Strave from “Fan S. Noli” University
- ICT-based internalisation at home and the global network for “Virtual Mobility” for the HEIs, chaired by Altin Idrizi from the University of Elbasan
- Adopting and recognising Virtual/Blended Mobility as part of the HEIs` internalisation strategy for the administrative staff, chaired by Nertil Mera from EPOKA University
Call for contribution
We invited researchers and practitioners to submit research abstracts and research papers to join the Conference. Many contributions addressing different aspects related to virtual collaborative learning, internationalisation and home, virtual mobility and more have been received, and most of the authors are featured in the Conference program. After the Conference the authors can submit full papers from their contributions by Janunary 25th, 2023, to info@valeu-x.eu, which can be considered for the special issue of The International Journal of Management, Knowledge and Learning (IJMKL).
